SUN Dawei attends China-Singapore high-level cooperative meetings

AQSIQ Vice Minister Sun Dawei attended the high-level cooperative meetings between China and Singapore, including the 13th China-Singapore Joint Council for Bilateral Cooperation Meeting, the 18th China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Joint Steering Council Meeting, and the First China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity Joint Steering Council Meeting co-chaired by Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli and Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean on February 27, 2017. In the meetings, Sun made comments on inspection and quarantine cooperation issues, and reported with Mr. Koh Poh Koon, Singapore Minister of State, Ministry of Trade & Industry and Ministry of National Development, on the latest development of China-Singapore cooperation in the area of inspection and quarantine. Both sides stated that they would implement the agreements of the meeting, further close cooperation, serve the healthy development of China-Singapore relations and contribute to the benefits the two peoples.
As a member of the above-mentioned inter-governmental high-level mechanisms, AQSIQ has done lots of work relating to product quality and safety, inspection and quarantine market access and trade facilitation within the mechanisms, and played an important role in serving the bilateral economic and trade relations.
